How to Backup Your Computer with Backblaze

Since Backblaze automatically selects files to backup – including files on external hard drives – this makes it one of the easiest online backup services out there.  It’s particularly suited for novice computer users, or people who don’t want to deal with complicated backup software.  In this blog post, I’ll show you exactly how to backup your computer with it.

  1. Download the 30 day free trial from backblaze.com.
    Enter email and password
  2. Open the installer.
    Open the Backblaze installer
  3. Click Install Now.
    Click Install Now
  4. Click OK.
    Click OK

That’s all there is to it.  Backblaze will backup your files to the cloud, and keep them backed up continuously.  There’s no need to fiddle with settings (unless you want to, of course).

You can safely close the Backblaze application window – it will still run in the background:
