BackupReview is your #1 source for cloud storage news, reviews, and comparisons. We’re passionate about data protection, the cloud, and all the software and services that make organizing files easier. We also want to help you find the best solution for your needs, so feel free to reach out if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

How We Review

Most reviews go through a similar process, testing for things such as:

  • Ease of use
  • Speed, during backup and restore
  • Security; how good the encryption is, and whether a private encryption option is offered
  • Responsiveness of technical support
  • How the service compares to others (see our head-to-head comparisons)
  • CRC error checks, to ensure data integrity after being restored

We also regularly communicate with companies, to further our own understanding of their products, and pass on this knowledge to you.

Affiliate Disclaimer (and how you can support us)

This website occasionally uses affiliate links, and we receive compensation when you purchase through these links. We’re always objective in our reviews, and we thoroughly test each product. We do all our own research and take all our own screenshots.

If you find our reviews helpful, please consider buying through our affiliate links. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and it helps support our continued development, in-depth writing, and kickass content.

If you use ad-blocking software, consider adding this website to your whitelist.

We don’t like ads, but we realize they’re essential for websites to operate. Unfortunately most ads are junk – they’re obtrusive, sketchy, and detract from the user experience. We use a maximum of three Google AdSense ads per page. Never obtrusive. And we’re going to keep it that way.
